Parmvir Bahia, operations director for Pint of Science US, and yours truly finished the 8K race as part of Miles for Moffitt. Thanks to some of you, we managed to raise a very modest sum of money that will help researchers at Moffitt come with new ways to understand and treat different kinds of cancer. […]
Sometimes my colleagues and I feel quite disappointed about our perceived lack of progress in treating cancer. This figure from Cancer Research UK is very likely representative of the status in other countries like the US and Western Europe.
Looks like the increase in humidity and heat in Tampa is not helping! Did I mention that our team at Moffitt (Research Rangers!) is raising money for Moffitt’s research? I know, I know, you don’t know what to do with your money, here’s the link with a suggestion [link]
So pint of science time
This was how a postcard arrived to my house for my birthday. Time to start with the regular checks? Or maybe just a reminder of the work that Ziv, Arturo and I do in trying to understand prostate cancer at Moffitt?
This is Arturo Araujo this morning, presenting our computational model soon to be published by the AACR’s Cancer Research journal. Great presentation and nice way to tell a story Arturo! Photo by Heiko Enderling
